114th Congress is worst Congress for Wildlife

Taken from Defenders of Wildlife

The 114th Congress is barely weeks old, but it’s already shaping up to be one of the most anti-wildlife Congresses ever.

As you know, America’s gray wolves are in a life or death struggle for survival and now the war against wolves has spread to Capitol Hill. Various members of Congress from Wyoming and the Great Lakes are working together to strip Wyoming’s wolves of Endangered Species Act protection. Other anti-wolf bills are nearly certain.

Our resources are being stretched to the limit. Won’t you help by becoming a monthly donor to Defenders, to protect the wildlife you love?

And it’s not just wolves.

Dangerous proposals are pouring in to undermine the very foundation of wildlife protection in America. The Endangered Species Act could itself be endangered!

And that’s why I’m asking you to take an important step today by becoming a monthly donor to Defenders.

The truth is not everyone shares your passion for wildlife. But for those of us who do, we have a tough year ahead. These are extraordinary times, and they are going to require extraordinary effort on all our parts.

Becoming a monthly donor places you among our most committed and valued supporters. Monthly donors keep us on the front lines around the clock to counteract the growing threats to wolves and other wildlife.

And I assure you, the threats are only getting worse.

For more than 70 years, Defenders has led the charge to protect and restore wolves and other vulnerable wildlife. We could not have come this far without the generous support of people like you.

With your help, the best days for wildlife lie ahead. Can we count on you?

Sincerely,

Jamie Rappaport Clark, Defenders of Wildlife
