CT Votes For Animals – Forever In My Heart Charity Gala-Sept. 24, 2017

Connecticut Votes for Animals
We wanted to share a couple of exciting bits of news with you:

  • As you may have seen on our Facebook page, CVA Board Member Jessica Rubin has been nationally recognized (again!) for her work on Desmond’s Law- this time in the New York Times! This lengthy piece discusses the law, and has some nice quotes from Representative Diana Urban and Christine Kiernan from Desmond’s Army. It’s wonderful to see Desmond’s Law getting such positive and widespread traction, and we are thrilled to have such a superstar on the CVA Board. Way to go Jessica!! https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/27/nyregion/animal-abuse-connecticut-court-advocates.html?emc=eta1
  • CVA will be a sponsor of the Forever in My Heart Charity Gala, on September 24 in Middletown. The gala will raise funds for The Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation and the Middletown K-9 Unit. Representative Urban will be speaking along with Marc Ching, an internationally-recognized activist who rescues dogs from the dog meat trade in Asia. Members of CVA’s Board will be in attendance for this wonderful cause. Tickets and info are on the event website: https://foreverinmyheartjewelry.com/pages/CharityGala

We hope you are having a relaxing and safe Labor Day weekend!
