Emergency Horse Rescue
South Carolina: After an emergency rescue by the ASPCA, 19 horses are now recovering from a dire situation. Our team deployed Tuesday at the request of Orangeburg Animal Control, and the horses—some of whom may be pregnant—were discovered severely malnourished and neglected.

The ASPCA provided equipment, supplies and expertise in emergency equine sheltering, along with medical assessments for the animals. In addition, we covered veterinary and feeding costs as well as arranged placement for the horses—but our work is not yet finished.
