|Farm Sanctuary is embarking on an exciting new adventure: Creating middle and high school curriculum units about farm animal protection, starring the sanctuary residents.
The goal of the program is to foster a deeper awareness and appreciation of farm animals as individuals and species and to build critical-thinking and problem-solving skills in relation to our food system. The curriculum is designed to help teachers meet national and state school curriculum standards wherever possible in English/Language Arts, Science, and Social studies/History.
We’re assembling a Teacher Advisory Committee to review curriculum outlines and materials as well as offer activity ideas that truly engage students.
If you’re interested in joining our volunteer group, please write a short letter of interest explaining your background in teaching the subjects listed above and your geographic location to Mary McLean-Hely (firstname.lastname@example.org).
